Top Midwest CPA firm expands westward

EDINA, MN — August 18, 2022 — Abdo, LLP, a Minnesota-based public accounting firm providing audit, tax and consulting services for a wide range of businesses, governments, and organizations, is excited to announce that it is expanding its footprint by adding an office in Arizona.

After 60 years of serving clients from its Minnesota-based offices in Minneapolis and Mankato, Abdo continues to grow in numbers and locations with a recent expansion into Scottsdale, Arizona. The new office location gives Abdo access to the thriving central Arizona marketplace, allowing the firm to better serve existing and new Phoenix-area clients, and offers additional business development and networking opportunities.

Joining Abdo in Scottsdale as a new partner is Phillip Wuollet, a seasoned tax professional with strong industry experience in real estate. Wuollet has Minnesota roots; his family founded the Wuollet Bakery, a well-known Twin Cities staple. Wuollet previously served as managing partner for Epstein Schneider CPA firm in Scottsdale. “In my many discussions with Abdo’s people leading up to this decision, it was clear to me that my future – and more importantly, my clients’ futures – would be bright in the hands of such a relationship-centered firm like Abdo. Our values are in line with each other, and I’m looking forward to bringing a new wealth of resources and expertise to Arizona businesses with Abdo,” said Wuollet. Wuollet’s long-time colleague and senior associate Marcy Kaplan is also being added to the new team in Arizona.
