The impact of MN’s new THC law on the workplace: A guide for employers
Wednesday, November 16th | 11:30am-1pm
The new regulations passed by Minnesota this year has thrown employers and HR professionals into uncharted territory. HR professionals and employers need to be aware of the implications of these changes and make significant changes to their drug testing policies.
Join Leah Davis from our HR & Payroll team as she moderates a panel of Law Enforcement and HR and Employment Law professionals, including Alex Nelson from Minnesota Valley Drug Task Force, Alyssa Nelson from Blethen Berens and Tamara Hastings from Abdo’s HR & Payroll team. Our panel will tackle some of the issues surrounding the new laws, including:
- THC testing levels and what they do/don’t mean
- Property search policies
- Risk to employers
- Signs of impairment and how to detect them
Who should attend? Decision makers responsible for setting organizational policy related to drug testing and culture. HR leaders responsible for implementing and managing changing regulations and policies.
This session will leave time for Q & A, so please submit questions ahead of time when registering so we can assure we are giving accurate and complete answers.
A recording of the meeting, slide deck, and a short survey will be sent within 2 business days of the conclusion of the session. Your feedback is essential to the success of these sessions – please consider completing a survey.
