Heidi Lellman, CPA, MBA

Heidi is a planner and a problem-solver.  She enjoys the opportunity to put these skills to use every day in helping her clients find creative solutions.

Before she joined Abdo in 2012, Heidi sold residential real estate for nearly a decade.  This experience provides Heidi with a deeper level of understanding and a passion for the real estate and construction industries. She particularly enjoys working with business owners, often multi-generational, and other professionals that create, build, maintain, support and service our homes, neighborhoods and communities.

Heidi received her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College and her MBA from the University of St. Thomas. She is a member of industry associations and sits on the board of the Minneapolis Youth Baseball Association.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Most likely you’ll find my husband, Jake, and me cheering on our son, Theo, at a baseball or football game, hiking in a state park, growing veggies for the squirrels and rabbits to steal, watching a good sci-fi or trying to beat Theo at his latest video game obsession. In fewer words: Soaking up as much family time as possible.

What was your first job growing up?

Selling furniture at my dad’s store called Elements.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?

My mom. She’s an artist and every accountant needs an artist in their life. She is bold, creative, kind and smart, and taught me patience, to think differently, to envision what’s possible; not just what is and that absolutely anything can be painted.
