DJ collaborates with his clients through financial and operational challenges - providing peace of mind on the path forward.
DJ credits his working-class parents for his desire to succeed. They pushed him to want more than what they had and instilled in him the value of hard work. Through their encouragement, DJ has gained knowledge and an expertise in business that he shares with his clients today.
DJ’s passion is to provide his business owner clients with a level of comfort and assurance. Whether it’s working with them to explain internal financial statements, strategize on the purchase or sale of a company, or assist with their succession planning, DJ admires their dedication and wants to help them succeed.
While he has worked with business owners across several industries, DJ’s primary fields of expertise are in manufacturing, construction/real estate, and auto dealerships. He is also active in the firm’s recruiting efforts and wants to help identify new talent who will have long and successful careers with the firm.
DJ is a husband and stepfather to two wonderful step kids. Not only is he a self-professed die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, but his family is too.
What would you be doing if you weren’t an accountant?
My ultimate dream job would have been to be the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings to ensure we bring home our first Super Bowl victory.

If you’ll not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your lives” – Legendary Head Coach Vince Lombardi. This quote has always resonated with me and is the main reason why I strive to be the best I can be.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My biggest influence in my life, outside of my parents, was my head coach in high school football named Joel Swanson. I learned a lot from him on what it meant to work hard, do the right things, help others, and to find success. While I was not the most athletic person, I worked my butt off every day to get better at the game of football. He recognized this hard work and rewarded me with starting positions on both offense and defense.
For Halloween one year we had Vikings football-themed costumes. We had so much fun and this shows how die-hard of a Vikings family we are.
