Partner Spotlight: Brad Falteysek

1. What is your name and role at the firm?

I’m Brad Falteysek and I’m a partner in Abdo’s Government segment. I work with our government clients on audits and consulting services.

2. How long have you been with the firm?

About 27 years! On my first day Steve McDonald took me to a client site.

3. What would you be doing if you were not an accountant

I would likely have a landscaping business. I really enjoy working outside and being in the yard in the summer. I could operate a resort somewhere too.

4. Tell us a little about yourself

I live in Inver Grove Heights. I have 3 children (Grace, Noah, Sophie).

5. What do you like to do when you aren’t at work?

I like to run, play basketball, anything that will let me spend time outside. I’ve loved coaching my kids’ in their sports as they’ve grown up.

6. Little known fact about yourself?

After my entire life of avoiding reading books, I enjoyed picking this hobby up in 2025.

7. Biggest Pet peeve?

I don’t have one!

8. First job?

Working at my grandma and grandpa’s campground. I worked there with my siblings mowing lawns and checking campers in to the park.

9. What is something that scares you?

I get scared when my daughter and her friends use the pool. You never know what trouble teenagers will get into!

10. Favorite Band?

I can’t say I have a favorite, it probably changes daily.
